How to hold a group tasting

Create a theme. For example, Pinot Noir from around the world. Cabernet Sauvignons from around the world. Pinot Noir from Burgundy. A tour of Italy. Wine from Tuscany. Please see Wine Themes.

Find a date, invite your friends, buy 4-8 bottles for a specific wine theme, create several appetizers and start the tasting anytime between 5-7pm to last about 2-4 hours depending on group size and number of wines. Each tasting is unique. Customize your tasting with or without a PowerPoint presentation.

Bringing Wines to a Group tasting Event

The host will coordinate a wine sharing agenda. You can ask everyone to bring a themed wine or purchase several bottles yourself to avoid duplication and divide the cost.

Tasting wines on-Line (Coming Soon)

What is a Wine Theme ?

A Wine Theme is tasting several wine either from the same region, same country, same grape type or same vintage.

Do I need all those different glasses?

A. A few different glasses are useful when tasting wines. Riedel is top of the line but many other glass producers exist. A basic set has a red and white wine glass.

Which Red Wine is better, “A” or “B”?

A. Whichever wine you like best ! I can describe wines in much detail but if its not your style, it doesn’t matter. I suggest drink the wine you like but explore other wines occasionally. Its fun !
